The Taste of Taranaki WOMAD Pop-up Shop is an activation managed and operated by Te Puna Umanga Venture Taranaki that will sell a range of food and beverage products made from across the region, showcasing Taranaki as a vibrant and diverse food-producing region and supporting the growth of the local food and beverage sector.
Vendor applications are now closed.
Venture Taranaki will advise all applicants of the outcome by early December 2023.
When selecting vendors, Venture Taranaki will give equal consideration to:
- The range and diversity of the products available
- Regional spread
- Focus on sustainability and circularity
- Future business plans and ambition to grow
Venture Taranaki is the core funder of the Pop-up and there will be no cost associated for vendors to be involved (including no commission on sales). However, if selected as a vendor, you will be expected to:
- Provide 200 units of stock, with ability to provide more at short notice.
- Be available for at least 4 hours for an ‘in-store tasting’ during the event and act as a Taranaki Ambassador, helping to promote other products on the stand (ticket will be provided).
- Supply a 250-word background about your business, telling your story and core values.
- Provide a high-resolution image of your product(s) and business logo for promotional purposes.
- Share VT produced content across your social media channels in the lead up to the event.
- Provide 2 products at no cost for a promotional giveaway.
- Attend one vendor meeting at VT offices in the week commencing 12 February 2024.
*Note, due to logistical challenges and existing contractual arrangements, we are unable to consider applications for alcohol or frozen products (chilled products are acceptable).
