Industrial Chemistry Services is an IANZ accredited chemistry and microbiology Laboratory carrying out a wide range of testing predominantly on waters and environmental monitoring.
Our lab is located in Stratford, Taranaki.
We are currently seeking a Part Time Laboratory Technician, for a one year contract to cover maternity leave. There is potential for the contract to be extended at the end of the year period.
We are looking for someone with previous lab experience, preferably in a Chemistry or Microbiology Lab.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar laboratory, is able to work independently, has experience accessing industrial sites, is looking for a flexible working situation.
The Role Includes:
Chemistry analysis of waters
Microbiology analysis of waters
Dry Matter analysis
Laboratory Prep
Site Sampling at Industrial and Municipal sites around Taranaki
This role is for 20 hours work a week on a part time basis.
Our laboratory is open from 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. The ideal work hours for this role would be 10 to 2.30, however some site sampling is undertaken earlier in the day, so some days could involve an earlier start.
The role could also involve some full time cover of other lab staff during leave if that works with the candidate.
